Air Vice Marshal Shyamal Chakrabarty VSM (Retd) CEO KD Defence Brigade

AVM Shyamal Chakrabarty VSM, was commissioned in the Administrative branch of Indian Air Force in December 1979 and specialized in the Air Defence stream as a Fighter Controller. During his service he has commanded four Air Defence units, been part of high-tech Development Projects, was actively involved in training and development of young officers and has also been the Chief Administrative Officer of a frontline Air Force Base. At the time of retirement in July 2015, he held the appointment of Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Organization & Ceremonial). Post retirement, he worked as the Senior Adviser (Operations & Administration) in an NGO functioning as a convening body for Track 2 dialogues on International Relations and Public Policy.

Brigadier Kapil Varma (Retd) Ex President SSB Allahabad

Brig Kapil Varma commanded an Artillery Brigade. During his career in the Army he was the President of the selection board at Allahabad where he gained in depth knowledge of the various techniques employed to assess candidates viz: Psychology, GTO and Personal Interviews. He also has vast experience in training many officers in personality development, leadership, man management, communication skills and other technical subjects. After retirement, he took on to training mainly in Personality Development, Service Selection Board interview and Communication Skills. He has been associated with many coaching academies and institutes. A large number of candidates have immensely benefitted from his classes.

Group Captain D K Tanwar (Retd) Ex Interviewing Officer at AFSB Dehradoon and Instructor DIPR

Group Captain D K Tanwar was commissioned in IAF in 1979 in the Administrative branch and retired in 2011. He had many postings through-out the country including at the AFSB’S in Varanasi and Dehradoon as Interviewing Officer. Before retirement, he served as Officer- In – Charge Training School at the Defence Institute of Psychological Research, Delhi, where officers and Personnel Below Officers Ranks (PBORs) are trained to conduct selection at various SSB’s / AFSB’s. He has conducted thousands of interviews of the candidates and trained hundreds of defence officers in the interview technique used at AFSB / SSB. During his tenure at the SSBs had screened thousands of candidates in Stage I for subsequent Stage II testing. He is well versed with the procedures and techniques used at these selection centers and immensely experienced in the conduct of interactive sessions on personality development and guidance for the prospective candidates. His guidance on ‘stage I’ test at SSB and personality modification has resulted in high level of success rate.

Wg Cdr S K Sharma (Retd) Ex Sr GTO, SSB Varanasi and Ex Sr Instr DIPR

Wg Cdr S K Sharma is a Qualified Group Testing Officer- having served at the Air Force Selection Board, Varanasi for 4 years. He has also served as Senior Instructor at Defence Institute of Psychological Research, Ministry Of Defense- where all SSB training and SSB test creation & updating is undertaken. He has been on the prestigious Selection panel of Indian Coast Guard too for a period of 3 years. He has been training SSB aspirants for the last 10 years at the Sainik Schools of Goalpara, Rewari etc. He has conducted various training programs for the Headmasters and School Teachers at Military school Chail, Belgaum and Dhaulpur for training them on grooming of students for SSB selection.

He is also the Managing Director and Chief Mentor of TABI (Training And Beyond-India), a specialist training company. He is a qualified trainer and a motivational guru. Backed by an Air Force career – spanning over two decades and a decade long stint in the corporate world, he is a visionary and incorporates the most modern training techniques in corporate and academic training. He has also taught in many Management Colleges across Delhi & NCR.

Mr. Abhishek Yadav Ex GC OTA Chennai

Mr Abhishek Yadav is an engineering graduate in electronics engineering. After clearing his SSB from 11 SSB Allahabad attended SSC 103 course at OTA Chennai. On withdrawing from the course on personal reasons, he worked in the corporate sector as a Pro Advisor for Intuit Quickbooks online process. He has also been actively involved in conducting technical workshops for engineering students.
